The Energy of Seeking
A session with Jac O’Keeffe (Spiritual leader, Teacher, Guide, Author, Speaker)
About this Session
“The show is over. The show is over.” My teacher showed up and told me that “the show is over.” He was referring to the appearance of the world, my world, my life. He was not referring to my body; the consequences of the show being over reached far beyond my incarnation. My humanness responded with shock, denial, confusion. Without setting an intention, I found myself repeating the phrase “the show is over” as a mantra for several days. The phrase was at last understood and accepted when I felt an internal release followed by relief. Something let go. The internal momentum of seeking had stopped. I could not cobble together a semblance of credibility in any thought. Without believing in thoughts, the world did not exist. What was that seeking energy about? Was it my desire for something other than what was present? Was it a mechanism of pure awareness awakening itself from the dream, an energetic propulsion that had the capability to believe it was a person striving for freedom?
How can we recognize the difference between authentic spiritual seeking and an inner motivation that is based on our deep and hidden desires? Knowing the difference between these two yearnings is critical to an authentic, abiding awakening to Self-knowledge.
At The End of Seeking Conference, Jac will speak about the nature of dual and nondual seeking. She honors that each person’s path is unique and will assist all who come with questions on this topic.
