About this Session

Join Professor Donald Hoffman and Jenny Beal for a 90-minute interview-style conversation exploring the nature of reality from the perspective of science. Is the world we see an illusion? Is space-time a primary attribute of reality? Is it possible to produce a mathematical model of consciousness? We will discuss Professor Hoffman’s model of conscious realism and explore the concept of “conscious agents.” The end of seeking means the end of the belief to be a separate, limited ego. But it doesn’t mean the end of science. We will discuss how the resulting freedom from any impulse to defend and protect our current theories opens the door to true creativity and joyful exploration. There will be an opportunity to ask questions towards the end of the session.
